34 to 38 inch scape - 6 to 6 ½ inch diameter - 4 way branching - 25 buds - Hard dormant

This particular daylily was an instant winner in Steve's mind as evidenced by the four stars rating that he gave it on its maiden bloom. This accolade was repeated when I first debuted it at Lilyhemmer this past fall. H. Age Of Empires is a mind blowing gold yellow that literally jumps out at you from across the garden. The sculpting on the petals totally enhances the look of the bloom and gives the overall presentation a sense of power. What mesmerized Steve about this daylily was the wide, nearly white edge that accentuates the wavy ruffling. It is a look that isn't done nearly as much within the golds and yellows but should be given the dynamic appearance it presents.

This daylily owes its fame to the many stellar parents involved in its birth which include [Lightning Ridge X (Ruffled Lemon Lace x How It Works)] and (Caledonia X Tetra Medallion).
