GNARLY GNOME
(Reed, 2006)
52" MLa 6" dormant, diploid, Unusual Form
GNARLY GNOME has been affectionately known as “Scrunchy” for several years (garden name).  A personal favorite, it is tall, well branched, and is a consistent unusual form (pinched and quilled crispate).  The colors are soft – ancient pink shades with a cream throat.  It’s outstanding feature is the form – the sepals pinch and quill, and the petals “scrunch” a little near the throat.  Definitely unusual, especially at its height.
