Four years ago Toopie Perkerson asked if I would treat a flower for him, so sight unseen I agreed and said yes. After blooming it tet I called Toopie to return the plant and Toopie told me he was giving up hybridizing to do as I pleased with his plant. I asked him if i could introduce and name it after his name sake and he said "okay" TOOPIE is a very clean peach self with a dark purple eye, and one bloom this summer we saw a few teeth. The treated flower is 3 shades darker peach self with the darker purple eye and edge with teeth on the sepals. Honored to name it after Toopie, a beautiful addition to any garden.
