HARDWARE RIVER
(Reed, 2006)
30" La 6.5" dormant, diploid
HARDWARE RIVER may not be a very poetic name, but it is a lovely mountain stream that runs through our property,
and on to the James River and Chesapeake Bay.  It usually has very clear water, except after storms.  The daylily of the same name has
exceptionally clear red color.  Not very tall by our standards, it has extremely good branching and bud count, and displays the blooms nicely.
It may be a spatulate – open in the white throat, and widening out onto the ruffled petals, showing lots of color.
The buds begin to open the day before, and show ruffles Early.
