SPECIALIZING IN LARGE TET. UNUSUAL FORM DAYLILIES
We have a limited number of new daylily introductions for 2010. With my retirement and return from Minnesota, we are catching up with daylily lineouts and selections so we should have a much larger selection for 2011. As in the past, the quantity of each daylily introduction continues to be limited. Without the contributions of Ned Roberts tw0 of my daylilies would not be possible. Conversion of Ned's Stout medal winner "SKINWALKER" and "PURPLE MANY FACES" play an important role in my large tetraploid unusual form program. Steve Moldovan and Richard Webster genetics continue to be the backbone for many of the best UF seedlings.
In 2005 I made about 700 Tet. Skinwalker seeds. Almost 600 of them bloomed in 2007. The most vigorous of those seedling, WANDA EVANS, is available for sale in 2010. I hope to have more hardy field grown unique Tet. Skinwalker kids over the next two years.
I have used Tet. Purple Many Faces for several years. FLYING PURPLE PEOPLE EATER is the best purple kid to date. The size of the daylily blooms stops visitors in their tracks. It is especially nice at clump strength.
ROWENA YAEGER is my best near white to date. The average bloom is ten inches. I seen this daylily as large as twelve inches
during ample rain.
