FLAT FACE

FLAT FACE is a garden nickname that just stuck. FLAT FACE is tightly rolled measuring 5 inches. The waxy orange throat, which covers the entire face of the flower is strikingly beautiful. The orange throat is a rare exception to my green throat daylily preference. The flower is reddish-orange in color and has a wingspan of about 10 inches. Larry Grace has grown FLAT FACE for several seasons. He rarely grows Ufo's but made an exception for this daylily because in his garden every bloom is perfect and it has show quality scapes. The plant quality does diminishes z. 5 and below. Therefore for full plant performance, I'd recommend FLAT FACE to be a Southern daylily. Pod and pollen fertile.
