HELP FROM YOUR FRIENDS is a close relative to this year's introduction STRETCH THE MOMENT. Both have pod parent Moldovan 95-155 and Tet Starman's Quest in their genetics. HELP FROM YOUR FRIENDS is a perfect example of what a little shared pollen can do. Jamie Gossard came to visit the garden and brought one of his favorite new seedlings to share pollen. Mike crossed it to our favorite Moldovan seedling and look what he got.
HELP FROM YOUR FRIENDS petal color shows a maroon red with hints of purple. The sepals display a lighter coloration making HELP FROM YOUR FRIENDS a bi-tone. The throat is green and extends onto the sepals. The daylily occasionally shows a pinched crispate form but not consistent enough in our garden to register as such. HELP FROM YOUR FRIENDS scape height of 32 inches make this a welcome addition in garden backdrops. HELP FROM YOUR FRIENDS is also another hybridizing tool for us in bi-tones and patterns.
