Way back when I had a seedling from Steve's La Dolce Vita and Lipstick Traces that, although not a finished flower, seemed to have promise. Its good attribute was a neat eye but it lacked clarity and kick. The day it bloomed Steve's Apollo's Fire was putting on its usual show. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out where to take my new seedling. The result is Send In The Clowns, which is a vivid, clear mustard-yellow to canary-yellow with a vivacious red eye on all of the segments. A deeper yellow border compliments the ruffled edge. Finishing off this show is a lavender-pink midrib. It's really hard not to get something good when you walk in the footsteps of the masters! Thanks Steve.
