In the fall of 2003 the 9,000 seedlings that had been planted were sprayed with a combination of what were thought to be safe for daylilies.  They were not and with the exception of possibly 300 daylilies the entire field was lost.  Luckily H. Vintage Victorian survived and proved to be a star.  After Steve’s passing this area became somewhat overlooked while everyone was busily assessing the newest seedlings in other beds.  My eternal thanks goes out to Mike Holmes who was wandering about and noticed H. Vintage Victorian and brought it back to my attention.  She was moved to Columbus for increase and then brought back home and lined out.  The picture is a good presentation of the daylily’s appearance although it has often shown an even more noticeable blue cast.  I would be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to thank Mike Holmes for bringing this daylily back to my attention.  It was in an area that Steve had selected and lined out and in my haste had not gotten over to that season.   It is with great pleasure that I introduce H. Vintage Victorian.  Fertile both ways.  $150.00
